Auslogics Disk Defrag

How much time does Windows Vista take for defragmenting your hard drive? I'll tell you. Infinite! So, what's the option for defragmenting your hard drive? Now, don't tell me to use a google search. It shows above 1 million softwares for defragmenting the hard drive. That's insane! I've checked a lot many softwares that claim to defragment hard drive and a lot many of them are useless and fraud. So, at last, after thorough search I came across Auslogics Disk Defrag tool and I tell you, It's amazing. If you want to defragment your hard drive quickly and efficiently, then I highly recommend you to use this tool. Check the screenshot of main window.

If you are defragmenting your system regularly, then your defragmentation will take about 1 minute to complete. Here defragmentation takes place in two – three stages. First one depends on the settings that you have chosen. If you have chosen to empty the temp folder before defragmentation  then first stage is directly the cleaning process or else it is the analyze process. Second stage is, if first stage is cleanup process then it is the analyze process or else it is the defragmentation process. If the second stage is analyze process then third stage is defragmentation process or else the third stage doesn’t exist.  Take a look at the analysis and defragmentation processes.

And, here’s more, if you want to check out whether your drive has been defragmented properly or not then here’s a way.

-         Open ‘Command Prompt’ using the administrator privileges.

-          Type ‘defrag.exe <driveLetter:> -a’ (where driveLetter: is drive which you have defragmented eg. C:

-         It will take some time but will show you how much your drive is fragmented in percentages.

If you compare percentages before and after the defragmentation, then you’ll see a vast difference. It is also nice to see how fast the software defragments your hard drive.
